Hangzhou Fengling Electricity Science Technology developed a 320MW floating PV power plant in China’s Zhejiang provincein two phases. The first phase with a capacity of 200MW. .
There are several reasons for this development: • No land occupancy: The main advantage of floating PV plants is that they do not take up any land, except the limited surfaces necessary for electric cabinet and grid connections. Their price is comparable with land based plants, but floatovoltaics provide a good way to avoid . [pdf]

Rwanda set to develop a 30MW solar and storage plant. The Rwandan government, Mara Corporation Ltd and SB Energy Corp have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a 30MW solar power plant with a storage facility..
Rwanda has abundant natural energy resources including hydro, solar, geothermal, methane gas and wind energy to be investigated before any decision. This can attract energy generation projects which can increase electricity access and generation capacity from 224.6 MW to 556 MW by 2024..
To satisfy the load demand, solar photovoltaic (4 kW) and micro‐hydro (15 kW) power capacity were considered as the main sources of energy to supply electricity. Either in peak load times or during low generation of primary sources, storage battery banks can also be discharged. [pdf]

Ensiling is a promising low-cost preservation approach that allows for a year-round supply of kelp feedstock for biofuel production via anaerobic digestion. In this study, farm-grown kelps of known age were ensiled with and without the addition of lactic acid bacterial (LAB) inoculant for a duration of up to one year in order to test long-term storage suitability..
Long-term wet, anaerobic storage has been shown not only to stabilize biomass but can also provide an environment to begin depolymerization of structural components, such as lignin and hemicellulose, a benefit that could help to lower conversion costs for high moisture feedstock. [pdf]
