Renewable energy in Tuvalu is a growing sector of the country's energy supply. has committed to sourcing 100% of its from . This is considered possible because of the small size of the population of Tuvalu and its abundant solar energy resources due to its tropical location. It is somewhat complicated because Tuvalu consists of nine inhabited islands. The Tuvalu National Energy Policy (TNEP) was formulated in 2009, and the Energy Str. [pdf]

To improve the operational efficiency of an island power grid, the feasibility of connecting islands integrated with multi-energy systems using liquid natural gas (LNG) ships is explored. A novel multi-energy system model with LNG ships is proposed to minimize carbon emissions and enhance stability..
This thesis presents a generic framework for steady-state modeling and optimization of energy systems including multiple energy carriers, which includes conversion, storage, and transmission of various energy carriers and two approaches for the structural optimization of multi-carrier energy systems are presented..

Based on offshore islands, this paper proposes a multi-energy coupling energy system for offshore islands that takes into account solar thermal power stations. The objective function is to minimize the cost of energy purchased by islands within 24 hours, and establish a day-ahead economic dispatch model for offshore islands. [pdf]
