Moixa Smart Battery systems are designed to be installed alongside solar panels to maximise the use of solar energy in the home and lower the owner's energy bills. As soon as solar PV starts generating more energy than the household needs, the battery will fill from excess solar and it will discharge when the household needs more energy than the solar can cover. The battery can also be charged from lower-cost grid energy for homes on time-of-use tariffs, bringing additional bene. [pdf]

In response to the increasing share of photovoltaic sources in electricity generation, both locally and nationally, research is being conducted on the possibility of enhancing the self-consumption rate of electricity. An increase in the self-consumption rate typically leads to a reduction in energy flows to and from the power grid..
The investigation of residential PV-battery systems in Poland holds significant relevance for other Central and Eastern European countries since they face comparable economic, technical, and spatial constraints that prevent a large portion of the population from becoming prosumers..
The self-consumption level of self-generated electricity can be increased by investing in electricity storage facilities. With these systems, the surplus electricity generated recharges the energy storage devices to be used in peak demand periods..
Every Pole who has photovoltaics on his or her roof will strive to install energy storage - just to reduce the number of micro-installation shutdowns and increase self-consumption of energy (instead of selling it). There are already over 1 million micro-PV installations connected to the grid installed on individual houses roofs. [pdf]
